These words are from many of the leaders in the Baltimore City community. On November 17, ImageMakers Ministries, in partnership with The Sound, Sandtown-Winchester Achievement Academy and The Leadership Council of Sandtown-Winchester, hosted a Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway. We distributed over 320 Thanksgiving baskets to families in need. These families had no hope of a proper traditional Thanksgiving meal with all of the trimmings.
It was emotional for all of our volunteers as they blessed each person with a basket, to see tears in the eyes of the recipients. In fact, one of the mothers tearfully exclaimed that her freezers were bare, and she had absolutely no food to feed her children...but GOD! He provided the greatest opportunity for us to pray for the masses as they received the blessing and to hear the GREAT news that JESUS loves them. It doesn’t end there - some felt compelled to give their lives to Christ, HALLELUJAH!!!
Shari, myself and our incredible staff are so grateful to all of you - our ministry partners, partner churches and and corporate partners. We could never have achieved such an amazing goal without your prayers, financial resources, and time. To our Church partners that not only felt lead to give, but also sent ambassadors from your church to give us more workers to make the load light……..ENDLESS THANK YOUS!!!!
