This week, we witnessed tragedy.
This week, we witnessed the violent outbreak that happens when someone slips through the cracks, unnoticed.
This week, we witnessed the senseless murder of 17 children and 2 adults, all unsuspecting that their lives would end.
Sadly, what happened this week...happens every day in some city, in some town, in some suburb: Murder. Violence. Hopelessness. Despair.
WE HAVE THE ANSWER.
How many of us are willing to interrupt the busy-ness of our lives to speak life into someone that we see in the grocery store? Or do we simply have too much to do to stop for just a minute?
How many will offer hope to that one kid who is rebellious...or do we ignore him because we don't like how he looks or we are afraid of how he acts?
How many will give sacrificially of our time, our resources, our talent...to love on someone who looks different than we do...who smells different than we do...who talks different that we do?
WE HAVE THE ANSWER.
As for us personally, transparently, we pray and sob over the hurt. We shed tears over the pain. We cry out to GOD, "What else can we do? We just aren't doing enough!"
We don't want to see one more child, one more youth, one more adult lost...to sin...to violence...to abuse...to bloodshed...to perversion...to hopelessness...to the deceit of the world.
"LORD! What else can we do?"
WE HAVE THE ANSWER.
This blog doesn't have a lot of fluff or a lot of pictures or graphics. Why? Because we can feel the pain. Every day, we see the hopelessness and despondency and the despair of those who live the pain.
And it's absolutely heart wrenching.
So while the world talks about politics and safety and control...while the church prays a little harder inside the comfort of their buildings...while we go back to living our daily lives and caring for our families and our careers...lives are still ebbing away.
WILL YOU BE THE ANSWER?
We need you. Plain and simple. We can't do this on our own.
Will you give? Will you serve? Will you act so that we can share the Answer with those who are in desperate need?
